Yes, Happy is really my name.
I’m Omri, but everybody calls me Happy. It’s a translation of my last name, Shimhon. My friends in Israel have called me that for as long as I can remember, and when I moved to New York the nickname came with me.
I grew up in a small town in Israel, and I’ve lived in Brooklyn for twelve years. It’s home now. I love the neighborhoods, the people and the sense of community here.
I’ve been fixing things my whole life. As a kid I took everything apart to see how it worked, and yes, I broke a few things. In the army I was the guy who built things and solved problems. Later I built outdoor events, big and small, and learned a lot about construction and materials.
Then I turned what I love into my job. My goal is simple: show up when I say I will, talk to you clearly, do quality work and leave you happy.
